Benefits of Homestay Programme

Benefits of homestays:

It is an opportunity to experience, observe and learn a new life-style and culture while practing the language skills in a home.  All our families are ready to help students feel at home and so help them fit easily and quickly into the “Continental Way of Life ”

A permanent assistance:
In case of difficulties, individuals or groups have a permanent assistance of one of our local counsellors. They are the links between teachers, students, host families and members of our staff.

Qualified teachers:
All of our teachers are carefully selected for their teaching qualifications.

Quality accommodation:
Each family has been visited and interviewed by one of our local counsllors.  Our organisation makes sure that all the students can share in the everday life of a host family with the same rights and also the same responsibilities as any member of the family.  We accommodate only one Irish student per family.

Travel: Travel from Dublin by scheduled Aer Lingus flights.

France: We organise scheduled Aer Lingus flights for June, July & August only.  Transfers from airport to families by private coach in June and July. In August, transfers are not included (extra cost).
Spain & Germany:  Students organise their own flights, airport transfers are included in cost.

Organistation

Programmes and details of host family should be received by each applicant approximately ten days before departure.  The Apprendre & Vivre Office can be contacted, fax messages can be sent day or night.
