Paris Area & on the French Rivera
The programme offers the student a unique and fun-filled opportunity to experience the best of French life. The course is highly successful and enjoyable and every participant will achieve rapid results. The French classes are held in the morning and a full programme of activities, excursions and sport are planned for the afternoons and evenings.
Paris Area:
Students are placed South of Paris in a quiet residential suburb: 30 minutes by metro to the centre of Paris. They will have the possibility to visit Paris and its main monuments, shop in the large stores, and experience the Parisian way of life.
French Riviera:
In St Raphael, between the magnificent Mediterranean Sea lapping its shores and the luxuriant backdrop of the Esterel Hill, St Raphael is a warm, charming and active holiday resort. It is half an hour from Nice and bay of St Tropez.
Duration:
- Paris 2 or 3 weeks in June and July
- St Raphael, 2 weeks in June and July
Ages: 13 to 18 years old.
Tuition:
Groups are determined after a grading test. 15 students max per group. All our teachers are carefully selected and qualified to teach French as a Foreign Language F.L.E.
Special programme for the Leaving Certificate examination: participants 15/16 years old.
- 16 hours of lessons + 8 hours leaving cert intensive for 2 weeks
- 24 hours of lessons + 12hours leaving cert intensive for 3 weeks
- The 8 and 12 hours of lessons are given by Irish Teachers
- For younger participants (13-14 years old) they attend 12-hour lessons per week given by French teachers.
The course will consist of: grammatical structures – drama sketches – role-play – project work – study of contemporary life in France. In Paris area the courses are given inside the University of Very. In St. Raphael, the participants attend the course in a language school situated in the town centre.
Accommodation
All the families are carefully chosen for their hearty welcome by our local organiser who constantly helps the students when needed. From Monday to Saturday packed lunches are provided. Sunday’s are spent with the host families. Only one English-speaking student is allowed per family and has their own bedroom, though they may share with a child from the host family (2 separate beds). A student may request to be accommodated with a friend, but we need to get these requests very early

Excursions & visits with a French escort monitor:
- 1 full day excursion per week
- 5 half day excursions including sightseeing & sports activities
