School Intergration 3wks - 6mnths in French College or Lycee

This programme is only available at school time and is open to students who have studied French for at least 2 years.  The students will attend regular classes with French students.  All participants must accept and do there very best to adapt to the French way of life.

Before starting this programme and for one week, the students will attend 10 hours one – to – one tuition.  The lessons are taken in either the host family home or at the teacher’s.  They will then rapidly improve their language skills and facilitate their integration into the French way of life and school system.

Accommodation will be in a French family, half board on week days (lunch at school) and full board at weekends or bank holidays.  We try, as far as possible, to place the students in families with children approximately their own age, but this cannot be guaranteed for every placement.

Age: 14 – 17 years.  The students aged between 14 and 16 years will usually be placed in a “College”, this is the last year in a school junior high school.  The students aged over 16 years will usually be placed in a “lycee Seconde”; this is the first year in the French senior high school.  Of course this depends on the French level of the participant.

Locations:
Paris area – St Malo - Montpellier – Lyon – Marseille – Bordeaux
French Rivera: St. Raphael – Hyeres.
We cannot guarantee placement in a particular region of France.  The confirmation of location depends on the availability of the school at the time of application.

Duration:  the programme lasts from 3 weeks to 6 months during the French Academic Year, from September to the end of June.  All the applications will be submitted to a board of admission in France and must be received at least 3 months before starting the programme.  We cannot guarantee placements at the time of application.

The programme includes:

1. Full board home stay accommodation (lunches taken in the school restaurant)
2. All French school fees – civil liability insurance – administration fees
3. 10 hours one – to – one tuition (extra hours on request)
4. Assistance of our local representative throughout the stay

Not included:

1. International Transport & Airport Transfers
2. Public Transport & Travel Insurance
3. Personal expenses: phone calls, shopping, extra social or educational activities.
